Faith Formation
Vibrantly Christian

Commitment to educating students in the context of the historic Christian faith has been a central part of Hope's identity since the college’s founding more than 150 years ago. During Hope College's Day of Giving, you'll have the opportunity to give to the following departments and programs:

Awakening builds emerging high school-aged worship leaders. Students come to Hope in the summer to learn about worship, develop their gifts in the musical, visual, preaching and technical arts, and then lead worship at the end of the week in the Festival of Worship in Dimnent Chapel. Over the course of the next five years, every dollar donated to sustain Awakening will be matched by the Lilly Endowment, up to $250,000.

Campus Ministries

The primary focus of Campus Ministries is to prepare students for the Church as grateful lifelong followers of Jesus Christ. This is done through regular worship, discipleship and integral mission.

Emmaus Scholars

This program is a one-year intentional Christian living community that dynamically integrates head, hands and heart. In this program students take classes, serve together on campus and the community and engage in weekly prayer, accountability and other spiritual practices.

Spring Break Immersion Trips

Hope College Immersion Trips are off-campus, Christ-focused learning and service opportunities held at sites in the United States and abroad, which take place over Spring Break. They are designed to allow students to see the larger community and God’s active concern for the poor and marginalized.
